Calculation method
Choose a custom fixed rate, historical PBC benchmark rates followed by LPR, LPR only, or PBC benchmark rates only. A fixed rate can be entered per year, month or day, in percent, per mille or per ten thousand. Reference rates can follow their publication periods or use a specified quotation or custom annual rate.
For a date period, choose whether to include both dates, either date, or neither date. A fixed-rate calculation also accepts a number of days or months. Keep the selected 360-day or 365-day annual basis consistent with the calculation you intend to make.
The detail shows the dates, chargeable days or months, reference rate, any basis-point adjustment, multiplier, formula and amount. Each rate period is rounded to two decimal places before the displayed amounts are added. Basis points are applied before the selected LPR rate multiplier.
Recorded calculation example
CNY 100,000 from 21 to 22 July 2024, including both dates, using one-year LPR, a 100-basis-point addition, a 50% uplift and a 360-day year gives two rate periods: CNY 18.54 + CNY 18.12 = CNY 36.66.
Legal sources and rate coverage
The Civil Code's Articles 584–585 provide the legal background for contractual loss and agreed penalties. Selecting a rate calculates the amount under those inputs; the contract and applicable rules determine the amount recoverable in a dispute. The calculation detail links the published rate sources it uses.
The stored LPR series currently includes publications through 20 September 2026. Later unrecorded quotation periods are blocked rather than filled with an assumed rate. The fixed-rate and custom-rate options remain available for your specified rate.
